Paragon Europe in Malta is offering a career opportunity for an EU Funds Portfolio Manager on a full-time basis. Working closely and reporting to the Projects Senior Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for a team of project officers. The main tasks are to oversee the activities of the team that is the development of new projects and consortia under H2020 and ensuring the proper management of ongoing projects according to the standards of EU funded projects.

The ideal candidate must have:

A first degree in Science or Engineering; further post-graduate training in Science related degrees, Economics and Project Management will be considered an asset;

5 years plus experience in a similar position providing evidence of his/her performance;

Experience in submissions of and implementation of FP7 and H2020 projects;

Experience in the management of the full project lifecycle;

Know-how of various research methods;

The ability to source and identify new collaborations and to successfully manage these collaborations.

Furthermore, the candidate must provide proof of work experience with a minimum of three (3) referees; demonstrate that she/he has worked on projects independently as well as part of a team; has good time and resource management skills and is ready to travel abroad.


This job is open to Maltese and foreign candidates. Foreign candidates must be able to relocate to Malta. Candidates who fit the above requirements ONLY need to apply.
